Create a budget

Set the annual budget per expense category, as the control on spending.

Set an annual budget

  1. Go to Budget → Create and name the fiscal year.
  2. Pick the expense categories to budget and enter each one's ceiling.
  3. Choose whether to spread each ceiling evenly across the months or enter them by month.
  4. Save, then send it for approval before it takes effect.
Check last year's actuals in the overview first — a budget set from real figures needs fewer revisions.
